Under the conditions of the agricultural production cooperative “Plemptitsa-Mozhaiskoye” of the Vologda Oblast, a research describing economically useful traits of Highsex Brown and Highsex White crosses was carried out. Based on the conducted experiment, the purpose of which was a comparative evaluation of the current crosses of egg laying hens, the following results were obtained: Highsex White leaves behind the cross Highsex Brown by an average of 20 eggs from one the same laying hen. Other parameters: the mass of eggs, the age of peak productivity, feed consumption will vary slightly. The safety of the birds is 99%. The chemical composition of eggs is almost the same, however, the cross Highsex White has more dry matter, protein, lipids, carbohydrates and minerals. The obtained data allow to draw a conclusion about the advisability of both crosses use. Modern equipment, good conditions allow to obtain high egg production not only from egg laying crosses Highsex White but from the egg-meat cross Highsex Brown namely more than 300 eggs in a single usage cycle
